Pixel-to-Print Size Calculator

 WidthHeight

How I use the calculator

I use this calculator all the time when working with PowerPoint. That’s because PowerPoint pages are setup in inches (print size) but I usually want to save out images from PowerPoint into a known pixel dimension.

Real world example

Let’s say that I want to create an image for Twitter. Shared Twitter photos are 1024 x 512. When PowerPoint converts from from inches to pixels, it uses 96 Pixels Per Inch, which is the default I’ve set up for the calculator. If you enter 1024 as the width and 512 as the height, you’ll see that you should set up your PowerPoint 10.667 x 5.333 inches. Then you can save the PPT as an an image and it will output an image at 1024 x 512 pixels. Boom!
